The Panels Looks Local!

The panel of speakers at the August 5th CIO Pakistan launch, looks towards the audience as Dr Awab Alvi (aka TeethMaestro) asks a question regarding the localization of language and the online trend.  According to Margaret Adam, the challenge of localization is prevalent in many countries, including the Middle East, however Salman Ansari is of the opinion that with the advent of Web2.0 and the tools it provides, the ability to spread a message in the spoken language will play a more powerful and important role. He also talked about the work that Dr. Sarmad Hussain at FAST and CRULP have done in the development of the local script.
