An increasing number of forums are being used to push traffic and business back towards Pakistan. One strong criticsm that Pakistani’s abroad have always faced is their lack of want to work with local industry. But all this seems to be changing with the advent and widespread use of Web 2.0.
As the number of web savvy Pakistanis goes up, so does the amount of sourced content. Not just sending work back for local vendors, but also publishing opportunities. Mailing lists, forums such as INFLUENCE, a Pakistani business networkers forum that has 265 members, along with various other groups across communities.
With so many job sites and networks already in place, it would bode well for someone to put up a project listing site, where people who are able to pitch for work, can do so through a transparent and accountable process and find work that can help keep their operations afloat. Yes, the local version of e-lance.
