Posted by Not to have too many acronyms in your face but since CIO Pakistan is partnering with the MITEFP-OPEN Business Acceleration Program’s (BAP), we wanted to bring you an update on the details and dates for the program.
The BAP helps IT and ITeS companies to accelerate to the next level by having them register and go through a long-term mentoring and coaching program. The participants of BAP work towards preparing a Business Acceleration Plan which essentially outlines where they want their business to grow with the help that mentors are able to bring to them, they are judged on how practical and ‘executable’ the plan is. The Business Plans are ranked by experts who select the winner and runner-up teams.
Two members of the winning team are then sponsored to attend the MIT EDP (Entrepreneurship Development Program) at MIT in Boston. The winner and runner-up companies are also presented to Venture Capital firms who may offer ‘Term Sheets’ to them. OPEN USA members also offer to be on the Board of Directors of the top companies.
For those of you who have already registered for the program, keep in mind that the local mentoring will take place from the 13th to the 31st of July and August 10th is when the draft of your Business Plan is due. For more details you can visit www.mitef-pakistan.org
