Google and CIO Pakistan Organize First Kolachi Tweetup
[July 26 2009 : Karachi - Pakistan] The world’s most powerful search engine, Google, and CIO Pakistan recently organized the first Kolachi Tweetup at the Royal Rodale Club. Gathering 80 active bloggers and microbloggers to engage in a discussion of how virtual networking platforms are being used in, the mini-conference brought together the experiences of how people use Twitter and Facebook for their professional and personal networking and marketing.
Badar Khushnood, Country Consultant for Google in Pakistan commented, “This is a great way to encourage the creation of online content and highlight the people who make the effort to voice out opinions of people who may otherwise never be heard from. Pakistan has a very active online community and our only objective is to support them.”
The event was supported by Intel, Acer and P@SHA and was the first in a series of Tweetups and Blogger Meetups that Google Pakistan and CIO Pakistan have jointly organized.
