The rapid declines we saw across the Global markets and domestically in 2008/09 have forced companies to re-evaluate their business plans and in some cases their business models itself. The exact impact of the turmoil is still being played out, but the bottom line focus was on cutting costs as sales shrunk across all sectors.
At CubeXS Weatherly, we opted for a proactive approach towards industry shifts and feedback from our friends within the industry, and focussed on devising platforms and services that took into account the economic climate. We developed products to cater to SME’s and large industries alike by devising the “ZERO CAPEX” model of co-location/DR. This allowed us to meet the demands of clientele who wished to continue adding I.T. value to their companies without incurring the large one time expenditure. The model now allows us to press ahead with virtualisation, by the making the date centre a client of its own product.
CubeXS Weatherly took a further towards providing complete cost effective DR solutions by constructing a dedicated business continuity centre to allow our clients to achieve the fastest possible recovery time objective (RTO), should a mishap occur at their site.
The Company saw rapid growth in the "traditional" services offered such as those previously offered and 2008/09 is now noted in the financial reports as the best year in terms of number of new clients, revenue growth and of course the bottom line profit of the company till now. Using the "Porter's Cluster" approach the company forged strong relationships, preferring to form alliances as opposed to a confrontational stance. We thank our clients and our new friends for their continued support.
Perhaps the greatest catalysts for the exceptional year the company has enjoyed in trying times has been the staff, the CubeXS Weatherly family AND the growing market awareness which was created with the assistance of primarily CIO, for which we thank you.
