Business Agenda for Pakistan’s IT and ITES Sector

[October 05 '09: Karachi, Pakistan]Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) in collaboration with CIPE holds a meeting at Avari Towers.

Chairman of P@SHA Mr. Imran Zia, President of P@SHA, Ms. Jehan Ara and CIPE Regional director Mr. Andrew Wilson addressed the audience at the CIPE event in collaboration with CIPE. The event took place at the Indus Sweet Avari Hotel Karachi and CIO Pakistan was a Media Partner for the Event.

It was a policy and advocacy event for P@SHA, mainly to do with the business agenda of the IT industry of Pakistan for the period of ten to twenty years on what is required to boost the IT industry of Pakistan.

A document was released as an initiative taken by CIPE with the help of P@SHA to promote the growth of the IT industry of Pakistan.

The document highlights possible amendments in the existing law, which if made by the government, could lead to possible growth of the IT industry in Pakistan. Also highlighting what laws do not exist and the fact that P@SHA plans on working with the government so that the legislation for the IT sector can help better flourish the IT industry.
