PTCL will be providing its Balochistan customers with a new value added package called the “Balochistan Package” from December 1, 2009. The package will enable the PTCL’s Balochistan to make unlimited local and NWD (On-Net) calls within the province for a fixed monthly charge of Rs 299 per month. The customers will be able to able activate this package by calling PTCL helpline 1236.

Ufone won two awards in a competition amongst 18 Etisalat operations around the world at the Etisalat Group Chief Marketing Officer (GCMO) Forum. Vehicle Tracking Pvt. Limited, commonly known as V-IntelliTrac, has come up with a new solution called “Jammer Detector” which provides safeguards against signal-jamming equipment. . Once the Anti-Jamming feature is activated in a “Tracked” car, even if the car thief tries to jam the tracking system, he will fail to do so, and V-IntelliTrac can easily track and immobilize the stolen car immediately. According to Mr. Arshad Ghaffar CEO of V-IntelliTrac, “The Anti-Jamming solution has the flexibility to be integrated in previously secured vehicles, enabling all V-IntelliTrac secured cars to be protected. Chris Chapman, Chairman of the ACMA, and Dr Eun-Ju Kim, Head of the ITU Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, launched “The International Training Program”, being held in Melbourne from Monday 30 November to Friday 4 December, this morning. Senior representatives from regulatory agencies in Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and the Republic of Korea will attend and present at this program. Moreover, topics to be discussed will range from consumer protection, universal service arrangements, best practice procedures for encouraging regulatory compliance, and the risks, challenges and opportunities posed by the emerging digital economy. Mr Chapman said “The 2009 International Training Program has an increased focus on the regulatory challenges that we across the Asia-Pacific region face in a rapidly converging environment.” Sami Al Basheer Al Morshid, Director of the ITU Telecommunication Development Sector, stated: ‘Our aim with the International Training Program is to develop and manage programs that foster information flow to developing countries.”

View Systems, Inc. has announced that the company’s leading authorized and exclusive international dealer and business partner, Belcom, a security services subsidiary of Belhasa International Company, has received a second round of orders for ViewScan units and other View Systems products from Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, India and UAE. The orders placed by are a mixture of government and corporate clientele. ViewScan is fast becoming the choice screening system that can scan up to 1200 people per hour and produces no harmful emissions so it’s safe for everyone.
