Timmerman Talks CRM Strategy for Recessionary Times

arachi, Pakistan – December 22, 2009 – Teradata a leading provider of powerful, enterprise analytic technologies and services including Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and CRM organized an event relating to the Customer Relationship Management issues, at Sheraton. John Timmerman Jr, Global Marketing Manager for Teradata’s Customer Management Solutions Technology Suite was the key speaker. The topic of the discussion was “How to Leverage the Power of Customer insight for Growth in Challenging Times”.
He touched on issues relating to the CRM such as “what may be an incentive for one customer may not be an incentive for another customer” and how companies need to ask them selves questions like do they want “High-value customers” or High “net worth” clients as these answers can help them align their businesses to their customers.
John also emphasized on the use of different mechanisms that are being used to influence the decision making power of the consumers, such as youtube, Facebook, twitter and others, he says, “These very things that marketers are doing to build relationship with customers often become things that destroy those relationships”. So the company that sends a message needs to ensure that it is relevant, significant to the customer and is sent at the right time.
He also gave examples of some personal experiences he had, ranging from opening of bank accounts to Satellite Radio services. Each example emphasized on the importance of the discussion topic. The examples were practical and easy to relate to by the audience.
