Campus Conversations Goes to NED University
March 27, 2010 – Karachi, Pakistan: The CIO-P@SHA Campus Conversations’10 series, at NED was commenced on March 27th 2010.The event was attended by panelists from various industry verticals.
The names of the panelists included Yusuf Jan, Chairman P@SHA, Ashraf Kapadia, CEO Systems Ltd, Kashif Aziz, Head of Technology Services at CDC, Imran Daudi, IS manager at Engro Corp and Shoaib Shakoor, Head of Production Karachi, TRG Tech and Saadi Rauf, NED Alumni.
This event was the second in the Campus Conversations’10 series . The primary objective of the event was to reduce the widening communication gap between the students, academia and the industry leaders by bringing them together at one platform.
Ms. Rabia Garib, Editor-in-Chief CIO kicked off the discussion by encouraging each panelist to give a brief introduction of themselves, followed by an interactive session amongst the audience and the panelists. A set of criteria’s were laid down for the students which would supposedly qualify them for the perspective jobs. They were then encouraged to contribute to this idea and share their views as to what they think should the criteria’s be.
The focus of the event was interactive discussion amongst students and academia. The keys areas of discussion revolved around topics such as Internships and opportunities for Co-Ops, Scope for Research and development in Pakistan, Job and benchmark for quality and salaries, the curriculum & the scope for opportunities for hardware/networking engineers.

CIO Pakistan’s endeavor is to employ its trade media links and experience to bridge the gap between stakeholders for a more productive business community in Pakistan
