An office located on the 4th Floor of a building in San Francisco has its own significance, where you can simply tweet all day, and ply with only 140 characters which are suppose to be in your reach.

Twitter, a fun tool for many around the world has increasingly become a business channel for others and a tool for great networking around the world. Though, it is still picking up in Pakistan, it is the buzz that goes around tweeting all day at the global level that makes the difference.

So meeting up with Biz Stone, the international community of journalists were informed about the significance of Twitter, its origin and where did it all start from; to be precise.

According to Biz Stone,” when we came to know the importance of sms, we thought that was the most logical way to begin our network. Many early critics viewed twitter as being non-useful product. And to this concept we replied that neither is ice-cream but in the end shuold we stop making ice-cream or having ice-cream!!”

The bases of the launch of Twitter remained that it was suppose to be a fun product and that is exactly what Biz, the other two co-founders and team believed in until two major events shaped their lives and so did it affect Twitter too.

According to Biz Stone, it was in Austin, Texas, 2007 that at a conference people were attracted to this through their laptops, sms. Back then it was just model for fun. But Twitter became an all important tool, when in the Summer of 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia; people very busy finding fuel, that the tweet in the real time search engine, asserting where the gas station was located. So commandingly Stone says, “So from a fun thing, it became something good for us and we are proud of it.”

So with the passage of time, small businesses alongside big businesses became an important part of Twitter.

Interestingly, as the economy in the US was hit hard by recession, Twitter was actually growing on its own.

Those 140 characters do not provide full story but yes, in them alone are words written between the lines that assert what is happening around the world and just a simple glimpse gave way to others formulating their remarks and stories on those same lines. Add to it a link and the world is open to you with just 140 characters.
