CIOs gather to talk Business-IT Strategy for long-term economic stability

Oracle hosted a CIO Dinner Discussion, supported by the Punjab IT Board, to talk about better alignment of IT strategies to the aggressively growing business challenges. With an increasing number of Pakistani businesses being powered by technology, the CIO Dinner Discussion brought powerful business-technology decision-makers to share challenges and collaborative solutions to ink the roadmap for growth over the next 2 years.

Dr. Jawaid Ghani, Chairman of the Punjab IT Board said, “In order for Pakistani businesses to be sustainable, they require a lot of collaborative support in terms of knowledge and experience and the discussion helped identify many of these key challenges.”

The discussion touched on issues such as the Changing State of IT Buying and Implementation in the past one year along with forecasts for the next year along with discussion on initiatives that will help generate greater business opportunities for the Pakistani enterprise.

“CIOs operate with a number of constraints, such as the existing technology landscape, the IT budget, and the skills and knowledge of their staff. At the same time, the IT strategy needs to be continuously aligned with the business strategy”. Said Syed Rizwan Munawar, Country Head, Applications Business, Oracle Pakistan and SAGE West. “Keeping these considerations in mind Oracle, has strengthened its end to end product offerings, to provide a solution which meet customer demand more rapidly”.

After holding a series of successful events in Sindh, CIO Pakistan expands its outreach to Punjab.
