Understanding the importance of mentoring in a student’s or fresh graduate’s life, CIO Pakistan regularly organizes a Mentor Nashta, an offshoot program of the Campus Conversations initiative. A small, informal get-together where a handful students meet a senior executive in an office environment to get the hands-on and practical insights into the business world.

Earlier today, TRG Tech conducted a Mentor Nashta session with some students from various educational institutes. Rahim Lalani, Head of TRG Tech, and Anil Nanji, Business Development Analyst at TRG Tech, shared their experiences with the students and highlighted the importance of commitment to a cause, and learning from your mistakes.

One of the more important things discussed at the event was the “Superstars for Flood Relief” project. A voluntary effort by TRG and several major musicians and artists from Pakistan towards generating funds to support flood relief efforts.  The resulting feedback from the attendees consisted of ideas on how TRG can spread awareness about he cause and garner support from the youth.
One of the most important challenges in the training and grooming of students and graduates in Pakistan is the gap between the academia and the industry. Bridging this gap would result in a more practical resource pool that requires less training, and has a more refined and down-to-earth mien towards their careers and professional lives.

  2. Mehtab says:

    lol @ kids

  3. Rehan says:

@Magi Because trg considers and treat all of its employee like slave kids and always exploit them ,so kid is the right word to use. Any employee who is mature enough to stand up to exploitation will not survived in their work environment.
