ICIBM-2011: Closing The Gap Between Academia And Industry

To establish networking ties between members of academia and industries, and narrow down the gap between professionals’ academic and business knowledge the University of Central Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan will be holding the International Conference on Contemporary Issues in Business Management, (ICIBM-2011). CIO Pakistan and PC World Pakistan will be the technology media partners for the event which will be held from June 13 to 14, 2011.

The ICIBM-2011 will allow the over 200 participants, from more than 20 countries to share their research contributions and experiences regarding the different aspects of the business world. Furthermore, this conference is an international platform where academicians, researchers and professionals, from various business-related disciplines, can share research work and experiences with contemporaries on a global level. The ICIBM 2011 has also been viewed as presenting an opportunity where the attendees can discuss further future research directions and applied research needs.

A Doctoral Symposium and PhD Workshop will also be held on the second day of the conference, especially for the benefit of both early and late-stage PhD students. This particular symposium in particular will be beneficial for PhD students since it will give them a chance to practice writing clearly and to effectively present their research proposal. It will also allow participants to get constructive feedback from the experienced supervisors, have their thesis commented upon by examiners, and publish their research in refereed journals.

At the ICIBM, the various researches featured will refer to Organizational Behavior, International Business, Strategic Management, Marketing Management, Technology Management, Human Resource Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Finance and Accounting and future business trends.
