KESC Attempts to Make a Connection with Customers!
When organizations try and adopt technologies and solutions which will enable them to optimize efficiency and reduce wastage, you have to give them some credit for it – even if its the KESC.
So here’s a fresh announcement from KESC:
“Customers can now receive their monthly bills via email and sms alerts. For their convenience, customers may visit our website www.kesc.com.pk or access the link http://221.120.201.193, provide a valid email address or an active cell phone number there to receive KESC bills regularly via these platforms also. Customers will also be able to retrieve a duplicate copy of their bills by entering the 13-digit account number or the consumer number. This duplicate bill copy will be honored at all banks.”
If they can only get their meters online so the readings can be documented and actually checked, we’ll all be much happier!
Say No to Paper
According to research published by the Worldwatch Institute, 115 billion sheets of paper are used annual for personal computers; 700 pounds of paper are annually consumed by the average American each year; 10,000 trees are cut down annually in China just to make holiday cards;
Saving paper, can actually help do some good. For example, 3 cubic yards of landfill space can be saved by one ton of recycled paper; Recycling 54 KG of newspaper will save one tree; Paper manufacturing is the 3rd largest user of fossil fuels worldwide; Every ton of recycled paper saves about 17 trees; Recycling half the world’s paper would free 20 million acres of forestland.
You’ll find more astounding facts here.
If the KESC is attempting to rid the paper, will you comply?
