Afghanistan Steps Towards Modern Age With Inbox Business Technologies
Inbox Business Technologies delivered its first major international services project this year of implementing Microsoft Active Directory (AD) at 5 physical sites of Roshan Telecom, one of the largest telecommunication service provider operating in Afghanistan which has over 6 million subscribers globally.
Microsoft AD would allow Roshan Telecom to have a centralized system with faster, securer & easier access to servers and management of over 3000 accounts&users.
According to Mr. Shahzad Akbani, General Manager Services & Marketing at Inbox, ‘The project was a lead activity of Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) while Inbox partnered for its implementation and deployment. Our team stayed in Kabul for 42 days despite the difficult work situation. The success of the project can be measured by the fact that Microsoft AD was implemented with zero down time & 4 days earlier than the defined project time frame regardless of the law & order situation.’
He added that Inbox’s contribution and services were highly appreciated by Roshan Telecom. This achievement will pave a path to new opportunities internationally for not just Inbox but also for other service providers in Pakistan.
The Microsoft Active Directory (AD) Implementation Project comprised of centralization of the management system, Support User Delegation, shifting to Windows 2008 R2 and training of IT Teams.
