A Step towards Empowering the ICT Industry of Pakistan
In an attempt to understand how our analog lives have molded to adjust to the digital age, it is necessary to examine the role of Information and Communication Technologies in uplifting the economy and setting social trends. ICT Global 2012 is being held in Lahore from January 7-9, 2012, to provide a platform of opportunities for the various verticals existing in Pakistan’s local industry… an opportunity base on nine different platforms to interact with the thought leaders, decision-makers, and stake holders as well as provide a range of services and specialized solutions. CIO Pakistan and PC World Pakistan are Technology Media Partners for this event.
ICT Global 2012 will be displaying various products, services and ideas for District, Provincial & Federal Government Institutions, Technology Media & Telecommunication, Defense Organizations, Finance, Wholesale & Retail, Utility Distribution Companies, Medical & Health Care, and Engineering including Automobiles, Textile, Education and the Academia verticals.
ICT Global is targeting a group of industry representatives from the Oil & Gas Sector, Medical Professionals, Chartered Accountants, Lawyers’ Community, the Chemical and Fertilizer Sector. Additionally, Technology Media & Telecommunication – TMT South Asian Summit, Discussion Forums on focused verticals and Technology Innovation Platform (TIP) will also be held concurrently.
In addition to hosting visitors from various organizations, representatives from across the industry including those from the Oil & Gas Sector, Medical Professionals, Chartered Accountants, Lawyers Community, Chemical and Fertilizer Sector will also be invited, while simultaneously Technology Media & Telecommunication – TMT South Asian Summit will be hosting discussions on focused verticals and Technology Innovation Platform (TIP).
As an opportunity for ICT students, TIP (Technology Innovation Platform) is an important feature of ICT Global 2012 that seeks to provide a stage for the recognition of their performance and prospects of interacting with ventures’ capitalists.
ICT Global 2012 is backed by the Ministry of IT & Telecom, Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), Azad Jammu Kashmir Information Technology Board (AJKITB), National ICT R&D Fund, Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT & ITES (P@SHA), Ministry of Finance, Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and SME Business Support Fund.
With the support of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, PEMRA & SAMENA Telecom Council a TMT South Asian Summit with the theme of “TMT Trends – Opportunities & Challenges” shall take off on January 8, 2012 at the Lahore International Expo Centre, Pakistan.
Opportunities and challenges linked with technological advancements will be highlighted at the TMT South Asian Summit. It shall serve as a platform for members of the industry including Investors, Regulators, Operators, Researchers & Technology providers to engage in dialogue in order to facilitate the decision makers as they unfold the emerging trends of the industry. C-levels from sectors including communication, broadcast companies, data operators and Government personnel will come together for knowledge sharing and exchange of views with regard to current and future trends of the industry.
Keeping in view the dynamic Information and Communications Technology sector, this premier event will showcase cutting edge technology & equipment which can enable businesses increase their efficiency.
