ZONG launches its much awaited MU co-branded SIM
Having dedicated the 0311 series to Manchester United fans, Zong, China Mobile Pakistan has finally launched this highly anticipated Manchester United co-branded SIM. The new SIM was launched at an event attended by socialites, celebrities, industry leaders, experts and members of the Zong family. Zong is offering various services via their Manchester United co-branded SIM such as Club News, Fantasy Football, Exclusive Games, and even free minutes and SMS whenever one’s favorite player scores a goal. Man Utd fans will also get opportunities to win exciting prizes including Man Utd original merchandise and tickets to their games. Mr. Sajid Mahmood, CCO / CIO of ZONG, at the occasion, said, “Through this partnership, ZONG aims to offer a constructive platform to the youth of our country.”
Intel Education Awards Ceremony 2010– 2011
Intel Pakistan Corporation held the Intel Education Awards Ceremony 2010– 2011 in Karachi to honor teachers from government and private schools. The awards ceremony was held in collaboration with the Intel Education Initiative and Ministry of Education. During the event, teachers from both public and private sector schools were awarded for their hard work, determination and remarkable performance during the year 2010– 2011. Senior Minister Education and Literacy, Pir Mazar ul Haq, was being invited as the chief guest on the awards ceremony.
Arif Shafique Appointed As Nokia Country Head
According to an online news source, Arif Shafique has been appointed as the new Country Manager for Nokia Pakistan and Afghanistan region. Arif Shafique will be replacing Khaild Alvi as the top official for Nokia Pakistan. He had previously replaced Imran Khalid Mehmood as the Country Head in June this year. He introduced great marketing ideas especially to promote and increase the sales of dual SIM handsets. Arif Shafique, on the other side, has been working with Nokia for the past four years and was promoted as the Head of Sales in 2010 for successfully achieving sales targets. Though Nokia has not made an official announcement, it is expected that the news will become official in a few days.
Mobilink Foundation Support the Special Students
Telecom companies of Pakistan are actively taking part to support special persons as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility. Last week Telenor Pakistan held an awareness walk to observe International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD). This week, Mobilink Foundation supported the organization of a mini Special Olympics for special students in Faisalabad. The initiative was to celebrate the universal day of special persons and was organized in alliance with Tanzeem-al-Lissan, a voluntary organization working for special children. More than 500 special student athletes took part in several competitive games during the event while winners received prizes from the company. Mobilink Foundation torchbearers encouraged the students to stay strong and fight hard for their dreams.
